What should i know first for learning AI?

how can i learn about AI on my own ? and what is prerequisites for it? should i be expert at math ?
and what kind of math it needs?

linear algebra, probability, statistics and differential calculus. I am currently learning ml too! if you don't know the math or want to get a refresh of the topics you should checkout the deeplearning book by Ian Goodfellow (it's free)!
