C# or Java in 2018?

After working in both languages for about a year I am leaning towards C#, but I am curious to hear other viewpoints. Which do you think is going to be more popular this next year? Or will it be another language entirely?

java will be always more popular than c# , but choosing your first programming language doesn't really depends on programming languages popularity , it depends on ur needs , java is used on desktop and android development , java have a great community , so every problem u face u can find the solution online , c# is used for desktop and ios/android development via xamarin , c# is owned by Microsoft , Microsoft makes sure that it get updated and supported . so its up to u , make a choice
