Learning to code for making games with oculus rift development kit

I was wondering what type of code to use and learn the quickest and the best quality of code to make the best gaming experience possible.

For making games in vr I recommend unreal engine because it's easy to use and has support built in. I also have an oculus rift and have tried to build a game before.
