Is lua similar with python?

I just found lua language. People said that it is very powerful scripting language for making game. But sololearn doesn't make lua tutorial. Is lua similar with python?

In my opinion, lua and python have similar applications but different syntax and features. You are suggested to learn both languages to experience their similarities and differences.
