Why does it not open the URL directly on click but, only when I select open link in new tab?

When I click the submit button it isn't opening the link it is supposed to...

are you talking about a website it might use some scripts like js this can be done this too

I meant it has code <a href=website target=_blank> or other a method
but isn't opening in other tab too that's because it has scripts and scripts has code to open as a pop-up but your browser blocks pop-up either change seetinr in browser by changing block to allow for that site or change script or you can open innewtab
