If you're still in school, how do your friends react when you tell them that you code???

Question

When my friends ask what my hobbys are, I tell them that I learn to code at the moment. And then they look at me with a strange face and laugh. I think coding is something you have to be interested in, or you will lose quickly your focus on understanding it.
What is your opninion or the reactions of your friends???

if i will say to my friends that my hobby is a coding then they will laugh too!! all what you need to do just shut up and doing great thinks! Like Mat Dickie! a simple guy that makes games. he has a little house and 2 children and a lot of money. he dont thinks that he is cool but he have a TEN MILLION Fans from whole around of the world!! and those numbers are continues to rise. just be like him! dont try to be great one but be great one! GOOD LUCK!!!

They're f*cking dont worry about coding. all of them are worry about to be coolest😎 in the school and making a girlfriend then marry!! But i dont think about those thinks. all of thinks like that are coming by time! just code! and you will have girlfriend and you will be a coolest guy😎! like. me😉. i have girlfriend and i am coolest guy at school! everybody at school knows my name! My friends don't know how difficult and time-consuming it is to code. They think that a fully-functional, UI Design friendly website can be done OVERNIGHT. xD.

Some of my friends think it's like hacking into a mainframe, and all that Hollywood garbage hahaha while others who are studying computer science probably think I'm inexperienced in comparison!!

To summerise, learning to write code takes mental energy. As code seems irelavent and mysterious, people aren't willing to invest mental energy into it. Thus they don't.
