Hackers need programming knowledge,programmers don't need hacking knowledge

Hackers look for ways to break networks or software systems. Usually, they also have massive programming experience to help them do so, but it isn't required. As with anything in life, there are good ones and bad ones. Programmers write code.

Hackers look for weaknesses to exploit. Hacking can be "ethical" or criminal depending on the circumstance. Programmers write code in a language that a machine can understand, much like humans use language to communicate with other humans.
