which one is the Best?

java is generally better at apps and programs. python is generally better at prototypes and automation

Depends, Java can do alot more and a lot faster, and runs everywhere, but will lack in areas that Python is normally used for, as well as being a bit harder

Note: I have been using Java for over a year and a half, with zero experience of Python
