Along with what @Roberto Guisarre said, it is also platform independent. You donât have to change any of the code for a different operating system.
It also wouldnât hurt to learn C++ and C because they introduce dynamic memory, which is another important concept. (C++ also has OOP)

I would suggest Java just because it's easier to incorporate yourself to the work force, since Java is very demanded and is used by the majority of the projects out there, plus it's a great reference for the employer that you have at least a decent knowledge of Object Oriented Programming, which enables you to learn other popular and demanded programming languages like Python.
