WYSIWYG writes code behind the scenes too, they're just wizards to help ease things and reduce time taken if we code by hand, I guess, the benefit of wizard-free coding is, we have better memory of the syntax, and in the event where we don't have the WYSIWYG tool, we can still code just fine, being not dependant of the tool. However, in work place, such tools are pretty common, because there are deadlines to catch, hence need to haste things up a bit, I suppose : )
