Django is a very powerful framework and is pretty simple in terms of concepts. You will be required to know about classes and some basic python coding. But it should be pretty easy to get started with Django if you have got the basics of python. As always, it's always a good idea to just try it out. Give it a go and see how much you understand. You will get it at one point. And as for your question, it really depends. More so on how much you use django. The more you use the better and quicker you will pick it up.
NOTE: I suggest you go through some python courses before.
