I'm currently considering making a molecular simulator on python, just for learning. It calculates the positions and velocities of particles in a periodic system, and uses that to calculate thermodynamic outputs.

Totally up to you. Just remember although I am pretty advanced, I don’t know EVERYTHING there is to know about python. And I do have other things to do so I can’t be there all of the time. But I can answer questions pretty quickly.
