Which is better for web design?

I would like to learn both HTML and JavaScript, but I don’t know which one to use for creating a website. Could I have some help deciding?

HTML is best to start with. That’s the biggest and best way to start building a website. JavaScript is only (in web development) for modifying things. It’s not very simple to make a JavaScript website with only that language. I also recommend learning CSS and following the great path SD recommended. Best of luck and happy coding!
