I am very weak at competitive programming, can anybody tell me how to improve?

Competitive programming isn't that important. It won't get you a job or prove your abilities. Worry about learning the language. That is the most important thing.

The only way to improve beyond learning the ins and outs of the language is to practice challenges as often as possible.

i also tried some questions of competitive programming
//they are not that hard , just think simple & u'll surely make
//i made 1-liners also (after making big codes ... & then smaller and smaller after getting the trick to solve it)
