I don't think there is need for top performers recognition system.

For the Xp , First there is leaderboard.
Because there are many Challengers who only play HTML Challenges all the day and got to top of leaderboard. Even not getting that they only answer the repeated questions.
For the best code, we have Code of The Day where the selected good code are featured every week.
