I love C# more than myself.

Depends. Python is great for testing, prototyping, analysis. I use it the most. But it is comparably slow. So far, to boost things, I use Cython, but learn C++ now, to programm fast number crunching modules.

C# is a good compromise between the complexity and speed of C++ and the simple, but slow Python.

Yet, I would say Python, because still, you are able to make things fast with Cython, if you want, without being too complex.
