Depends on what you want to do eitherway. What do you need Ruby for? What do you need Python for?

My totally biased opinion is that Python is more versatile and definitely has a bigger collection of modules enabling you to do stuff. Lots of different stuff.
However, there is no inferiority situation here - to everyone his own. Check out my codes here and compare between the two:

@Nico Perfect, thanks man! I enrolled for the first in Poland data science bootcamp and am quite pleased with what I learn. But it's never too many of valuable sources ;)

Both languages have pro's and con (No hate to others but don't suggest Python or Ruby just because you like it, suggest which is suitable for the given info), If you want simplicity and short codes, code in Ruby, however if you want to have a bigger community to help you out try out Python :D

@Nico, you're in the Data Science field? Would you recommend some really good online sources for that? I found many, but not all are worthwhile...

@Kuba : my brother works in Data Science. I'm kind of self learning. At the moment I'm on several numpy tutorials which are from excellent to meh and require from good math knowledge to beginners. Here are some (please don't report me as spam ! ;) ) :

As long as the courses in this app are not very long, I think you should try both and see what fits you. I like Python very much (project of use for Data Science computing and AI) but I don't know much about Ruby and lot of people say it's great.

I'd like to develop a skill set which encompasses varied skills. I just wanted to know which one of these would be considered as a better skill.
