Are you a programmer or a coder ?

Most times we tend to forget the difference between a programmer and a coder. A programmer is someone who looks for a problem and finds a solution to the problem. A coder is someone who is good in using one or more language(s) to write codes. A programmer will have to know at least one language and how a program is structured so that his solution to a problem can be coded. These days people tend to code what others have done already. So, where do you group yourself, a programmer or a coder ?

Stemming from Luka's definitions: All of us may write codes, but not all of us write codes to built programs. Some codes are written to build sites, some as web crawlers, some pure scripts, etc. But overall, I think it's a waste of time to argue over such trivial terms.

I don't agree. Programmer and Coder are the same word. These are two generic words, maybe the meaning is only ethical. Anyway, i'm a coder, programmer, developer or whatever you want... i just know that i love coding. ^_^
