What is a good beginners language to learn?

I heard python and c++ is easy, but not sure what a good language is to start with and get a good understanding of the basics. Any suggestions on where to start? Thanks! :)

I am with Edward. Most say Python is easier.

Python is really easy and you get to have the things done in no time. It does not complicate it too much, like other, semicolon languages. Learning programming concepts in Python is also not too difficult. You don't have to focus on the syntax too much, and have more opportunity to focus on ideas.

There is a Python 3 course here and it's really extensive for a beginner.

scratch definitely. It's not technically a language, but it is eye-opening.

python is easy but you will not get used to c++ or java if you learn python first, I suggest learn C first
