LWaldrop643 Most of the things about programming did we all explain. I would recommend you for you dream to just learn the basics of most of the things like 3D/2D Design, you should know a bit about writing of Storylines but you should still try to go further in one area at first and let you help in other areas like music, graphics or Storylines. Note: I would also recommend you to look for ppl who make you for example objects like persons that you need to add. Because YOU, will always make your code so that you can easily implement it in the Game but in a company not just one person make codes and you need to handle the codes of your coworkers. P.s.: Note that's my opinion but I also have no work experience. Just look how you want to do it. 😅

David (DonDejvo) LWaldrop643 I mostly just learnt everything myself and formerly 2-4 years ago I made Plugins (Minecraft) for a short time. I just start to go to highschool (11th Grade) and have near to non-gamemaker experience and mostly try to build my foundation. Note: I'm a bit afraid to step again to programming with games because of what happened with my friend I used to make Plugins(He just left and deleted everything).

David (DonDejvo) C++ is the best suited for Unreal engine and C# is mostly more suited with Unity. .Net Framework is also more used for application dev.

David (DonDejvo) I also imagen programming they own engine as more fun but more work(at first). But to come again to the question to sum it: C++ would be the better Option for you it have more Options for Game development and is without doubt the best Option for Unreal and they own engiens. C# is more focused in more areas Like Java and is easier to learn it's more suited for Unity because of it's structure. Naturally you have much freedom with .Net but it's not "focused" at Game development and C++ have more focused Options.

When you want to be Game Developer the Most recommended language would c# but I would rather give you to heart to try out game engiens like Unity or Unreal. Because you have already c++ experince you should have much trouble with learning the Basic Syntax for c# , but you should also try working with .Net Framework. I also try to go for game Developer but I didn't do much until so sadly I can't give more

I looked again Unreal engine mostly works with c++ and Unity with c#, Unreal engine 5 c# Support. Unreal also have so called blueprints that're compareable to things Like Scratch and have No need for much programming and's more about Design but it would be still good to learn about OOP(Object Oriented programming). So I find No more. Good Luck with programming

David (DonDejvo) I also only have theoretical knowleght and searched up many other discussion or searched what use what mostly. I also recommend continue first he's used, second Unreal which he uses for school's mainly c++ based.

I only wrote it so because from how you said written it left me in believe you meant that Unreal engine's written/coded in c# tho I also through you switched Unity and Unreal in your head because than it would be partially right. 😅

LIMO Unless you want to be completely original. Today it is easier than ever to make video games, you can buy any asset out of the market.

Abhishek Biswas Unreal engine's entirely written in C++ like other engines and until UE5 does it mostly just Support C++ or it's usable with UnrealCLR. Unity engine's also partially written in C++ but rather Support C# so that you have Flexibility and strong structure from both. Please inform yourself before giving recommends.

100% true but ain't that not original because real genuines made theirs from scratch and now we copy theirs don't we act un original if I say so myself? hehe you right because drawing is kinda not so fun if you don't got a steady hand but my point still stands

so you wanna code or work in a game project where you work mainly on graphics me too, always ask myself that question do you code graphics or lol 🤣 but anyways um it's hard because the skills you need is drawing and 3d modeling because without that you can't make great games am I right? if you wanna get into the visuals of game development is stop copying others and asking for their tutorials bro you wanna make the graphics start getting used to the brush tool 😁
