I heard great things about this book, but I haven't read it myself.
Bruce Eckel: Thinking in Java

You can read it for free as well. I listen to the podcast of the author regularly (called Happy Path Programming). This book has been praised by many people who have written other programming books, based on the ideas and patterns of this one. Bruce Eckel is a scholar of many programming languages, he has written about C++, Java, Scala and Kotlin as well, and he is a great fan of Python.
