Python, it's very easy in it, just connect the board with PC using USB and you can code and run modules, right in it.

earlier , peopleused to use C mostly but now Python seems to be preferred language for users

the best for microcontroller is language C and for shield card controller python. if you want programm in Language C for arduino , you use labview
