You can use javascript for mobile apps by using phonegap.

as Jamie said, you can make simple cross platform web apps with html and JavaScript using a service like phonegap and it will run on everything from phones to computers.

however if you want to develop truly native mobile apps, like the ones you see in the app stores, I wouldn't use web languages. I would go with c languages (objective c, c++, c#) and java.
