Do you usually code from your phone/tablet or your PC? (In other words, The Sololearn app or www.Sololearn.com?)
From a phone or tablet, you can type with your fingers bit you need to switch that input mode for that semicolon. From a PC, depending on your typing speed, you can get those special symbols/characters easily with holding that shift key. Also some programs including Sololearn's code editor detect possible errors before-hand. (Not biased towards either side)
