Javascript Vs python Vs ruby for web apps

which language would you use, why?

Javascript, for web front-end programming.
I love Python (can't resist)
But ruby-on-rails back-end framework is a good use of ruby.
So JS for web frontend
Python, not much for websites, but can use django
Ruby, better for back-end ruby-on-rails

I will choose JavaScript because it serves both the functions

It has syntax like c languages which will serve for programming apps,
and it can be used for structuring web applications and designing them, which is another aspect of JavaScript
