Currently Python has the best offer, the most supported libraries and open-source supportive community. In the future, perhaps Julia or Scala (Java-like) could also be in the trend.

Python is often used for prototyping. Ready-made models can then be deployed to Java or C++ for end-user applications. Especially those time-critical ones.
