Olly dbug Tool is good for reverse engineering? ??

I want to add something to a existing software I found ollydebug tool after research can you tell me is it good ? or i have to find new one ?

It is quite well known amongst rev engineers, there are others of course, please note that you always get a valid copy because there are many sites giving link to download it which may have been altered, some people have reported having suspicious activity on using it, stay on the safe line :)
