Is it possible to create good website using only html and css?

Have been learning html and css but I don't if these two are good enough for me to create websites and what are the kind of sites that I can design with css and html alone

of course! you can make single page or multi page static websites using html and css. when I started learning html5 and css3, I created a personal website for myself in which I had represented my resume.
