Why Next to C Is C++ Not C+!

C is basically C thats for sure
++ stands for incremented.
That means advanced or upgraded version of C and
There is one more concept & i.e. class , ++ mean C increment by 1 by adding class concept...

It is because of the increment operator " ++ " that is in C. C++ is the next level of C therefore the developers of the language used the ++ operator in front of c to show the same.

Bjarne Stroustrup, the creator of c++, was an admirer of simula 67 (his favourite language) and also was a strong supporter of c. He wanted to combine the best of both the languages and the resulting came out to be c++ .
Well in starting the initial name was 'c with classes' but in 1983 (don't remember clearly) , Rick Mascitti coined the name c++.

I read this somewhere in a book don't remember the year clearly but i think it's 1983.
