The great thing about Blender3D is its all written in Python and using the scripting language you can create animation, also Autodesk Maya uses python for various purposes ( although I haven't dealt that much into it :)

There are a lot of tools that could help you do this for example ( html, css, javascript, jquery, python, matlab, PowerPoint, photoshop.....)
