Good evening SoloLearn friends, brothers & sisters. I have a question for you: What's your preferred OS?
You can be specific. I'm asking because I have this idea to make a live app with the results being displayed and updated frequently. **If you double/triple/multi boot various OS's, each one counts** Thank you! Cheers!

Hmm, how do I get more people to see and respond to this???
I really want to put up the results, but there's still not enough input yet...

Thanks for all the responses so far guys! I'm not sure how long I'll let it run.
I was definitely an Auditor and Backtrack kid coming into programming.
I always had a live CD & fat USB on me💿

Another good place for Linux beginners (and Linux heads in general) is DISTROWATCH.COM. There, you can read about, look at and download (free & paid) all types of different Linux OS's. The site is very active, allowing you to pick the Linux OS that you are interested in or suits you the best. There are tens of thousands out there and you can even create your own custom Live CD or install your custom Linux OS on all of your devices, jailbreaking may be required.
The coolest thing about running the Linux OS that I put together myself, which is a lightweight compilation of the best tools from backtrack (kali), auditor & knoppix, on all my devices is the reaction I get from people when they see my system boot up or if I'm working doing my thing.
They look at me like: "WTF? This must be a super hacker or something."
I always tell them that it is not hard to do. Even with no experience, you can do it yourself in one day.
Cheers!

Take the red pill and open up your world like Neo in the Matrix!
KALI.ORG is the place to start becoming a systems security master, for sure! Learning coding languages on here is cool and all, but in my opinion, learning 1. command line, 2. git hub, 3. deep web and 4. linux administration are the future of supreme computing. Remember, ALL computing architecture is based on linux.

I prefer Linux. But I also need Windows. Mostly I make my laptop dual or triple boot.

i would use kali or linux or backtrack because i have seen them recommended

Windows and kali lunix are both the best os but if you like to code use window and if you want to become a hacker or annoy other people use kali but kali takes a lot of time to learn and set it up as compared to windows and for best results use dual boot but it will also make your laptop or computer a little slow.

I really would like to learn Linux, but don’t know where to start. Sick of the bloatware and security concerns with Windows
