How is coding is helpful for mechanical industry.

I am mechanical engineer. And i love programming . It is logical thing in the world where you have lot food for your brain. Many IT enggs told me that python is very useful for you . I dont know is it? and how ?, if there other languages then tell me . thank you.

As you know most industries have machines to perform task. Some machines​ are manually, operated by humans,but some are fully automatic.Both the cases programming is required.
