What advice would you give to progress with Javascript? A) pure focus for 2-3 months B) learn Vue.js or Node? What would you do?

Pure focus on Javascript for few months, you would thank yourself later. Learn NodeJs and Vue.js after you have proficient in pure Javascript.

Why not both? Make a project with a node.js backend and a vue.js frontend, I'm sure it'll teach you a thing or two about plain javascript. If you absolutely have to make a choice, I tend towards A, because the new cool javascript framework is different every year and if you know javascript well you can learn any framework in no time.
