Pick a library; there are multiple though IDK that any exist for Python as I don't use it personally. Most of the libraries have at least one functional example, and some even have forums to help learn how to use them. The best seems to be SteamKit2 which is coded in C#, mostly because it's the original and others are based on it, but some of the implementations in other languages should be usable.
