Suggestions: Learn More Algorithm or Learn More Language

I can currently code on C and C++. I was willing to work on game development and using Unity™ for that purpose. That means I probably need to learn C# (or JavaScript). On the other hands, my friends are saying I should start learning algorithm since learning algorithm leads to better problem solving skill and thus better CSE related jobs. So, what do you think? should I work on algorithm or should I work on learning C# and experimenting on making games with Unity™?

IMHO both ways will lead you to the same result. If you will start with real life project you will eventually find yourself in situations when you will have to learn something new from the algorithmic side of the programming.

@Matej, so, if both kinda gives me the same result, which one gives me a better start? Better knowledge on algorithm so I can show I am good at programming or better experience at game development so that I can show I am good at making good softwares (games, most likely)? And also, if I wanna start with game development , I have to start myself since game development is still not professional in my country.
