@Jonathan Carver, in 2016 R was ranked 16 on the TIOBE index. In 2017 it was ranked 8. It is more popular than PHP, Ruby and Swift. https://www.tiobe.com/tiobe-index/

Personally, I believe there is not R on SoloLearn because of it simply being too unpopular. R is not seen as one of the future languages of programming, so it is not included here. I hope this helped! 👍
