I'm having trouble deciding what to learn first

I just got started myself. I asked several software developer friends this. They said, "You just have to try things and figure out what you're able to do, what you're good at doing, and what you like to do and go from there." If you have a more specific goal, you can research what language would best meet that goal. If you don't, just try something and see how it goes.
