MyProject: what programming language is best?

Hi all,

I would like to create a online database that holds data.
I would then like to create my own software which reads and writes to the online database.

I would also like this to be done in real time so that multiple users can read and write to the database simultaneously.

Down the line I would like to create a mobile application for both Mac and Windows which would be able to read and write to the database.

So with this in mind, what’s the best language to approach this?

I ran out of characters..

The reason I want to create this database is to manage staff in a work environment. Ie.. holidays, time tracking. But also logistics and project tracking.

I know it will take ages to learn, but I’m loving learning new languages and I want to make sure I’m heading in the right direction.. I’m thinking c++ and php maybe?
