Xamarin with C# cross-platform apps

Question

What’s the best approach/language for cross platform mobile apps? Some people might learn java for Android & Swift for IOS, but for someone who wants to be practical, what’s the easiest way to make apps for both devices? Xamarin & C#?

for me one of the easiest way to make cross-platform apps is React Native;
React Native is a mobile framework that compiles to native app components, allowing you to build native mobile applications (iOS, Android, and Windows) and it's open sourced by Facebook
