Rowspan/Colspan in HTML

Question

Hi, I don't know how to use/work with rowspan and Colspan in HTML correctly. Where do I have to write it, where do I need to delete a cell in order to work it out? I'm really helpless wit it.
And also: Is it normal, that SoloLearn won't show the borders of a table? I tried everything I know but they never appeared..
