How Do I Practice Programming

So I recently finished the Python 3 course, but I have it all down in theory. I haven't even program any actual python except for the "Try it yourself". How do I actually start practicing?

Old school way: Get a book/ebook & Start solving problems unit by unit.

OR
Go to quora.com, follow Topic: programming, python etc.
and real people will share their experiences and you can take a clue.
E.g. a sport fan would like to have periodic/ updates sent to his whatsapp.

Or you can just simply wanna know the latest jobs with python and would like to compile them into excel. And evaluate
