For iOS, apps are made in swift or objective-c
For android, apps are made in koitlin or android sdk in java
Websites are made in html, css, JavaScript, php, MySQL, And jQuery

App like amazon use many different languages at server side, according to each feature "best suited" language to each specific task ^^

Anyway, there's no "absolute" best language for anything... and even "best suited" language for a specific task are mostly a question of taste and skill (the better language is mainly the one which is the most experiemented and better mastered :P)
