Definite 'importance'. Importance to who? And in what context. Someone who makes a living, and supports their family, working solely with PHP, would consider PHP to be important! Do you mean historically important? Or are you coming from the angle of "if we could only have one programming language in existence, what would we choose?"

ASM languages and C in a sense that those are eventually the core of everything (well the absolute core is the processor architecture and machine code) but if we only considering "human readable languages" I'd say ASM and C.

Harshit Jain Html 5 is yhe latest standard not HTML3. To answer the questions, the question is kinda subjective. Nevertheless I will attempt to provide a list of commonly used languages. Web: HTML, CSS Javascript PHP, SQL. Android: Kotlin, Java. Windows: C++, C#, Java. IOS: Swift. Micro electronics: python, C, assembly.

i think in today's world's perspective, java ,python, c and pearl for application development and html, html3, css, php in web development.
