odoo is written on Pyton so your best editor would be Pycharm, Pycharm also have a settings called Code Stile XML that helps editing XML files on the IDE. More information on the links above: https://github.com/odoo/odoo https://www.jetbrains.com/help/pycharm/settings-code-style-xml.html
