Python 3 wasn't even standard a few years ago. "It would take some time because python 2.0 is still very popular but after 2020, python 2.0 will be discontinued" https://www.quora.com/When-will-Python-3-X-become-the-default-Python-version-in-Linux It looks like it'll have another 15 years, unless AI makes programming languages obsolete by then!

Python has a long life expectancy because it is super easy to learn and powerful enough to handle most things, games excluded. Also, big data is a fast rising industry and Python is the preferred language for handling it. It can also handle cyber security activities pretty well, which is another high-demand industry. Python isn't going anywhere for at least 10 years.

synorax Interesting points about big data. This article confirms your point about python and big data, and also mentions other languages popular in that field, like R and scala. https://bigstep.com/blog/choose-right-programming-language-big-data-initiatives

I would love it if some ov u guys used ur brain to help create apps to increase the simplicity of creating or letting ur imagination run free with u guys doing the gritty complex coding and me playing lego in 3.x world with some open source page builder window and me not worrying about a misplaced line.
