is learning one language and be professional in its better or learning many languages

I wouldn't worry too much about it. Languages don't matter as much as "knowing programming". If you become proficient in one language that would mean you know programming and can think about algorithms to solve your problems and use libraries and so on... At that point picking up quickly the synthax of another language is easy.

Bottom line: being proficient in one language does not mean you can't code very well and rather quickly in another langiage
