AngularJS is based on pure mvc and angular 2/4/5 is based on component based mvc.

You don't need to know anything about AngularJS, instead start learning Angular 2/4/5.

If you are ready to spend 2-3 hrs daily on learning Angular then 1 month is sufficient.
