Am i wasting my time?

I am in 10th standard, and till now everyone is expected to have an aim. so I had A.I my dream..... but people nearby tell me, that computers is a field which is not worthy of time.... they say that, every second the field is progressing and the students like me, the things we are learning would become old and won't get us jobs... hence they advice not to choose it as a career I just wanted to know if they are right????

Definitely not! I think computers and coding is the future of this world! It is just so diverse and amazing! Keep doing what you love! Yes, they are entitled to their own opinion but I say if you love it, keep doing it! Code on! :)

Did you ask them how they got their opinion? Not every adult who "explains" something to you "unexperienced young boy" is actually qualified to do so.

Yes, you are wasting your time by hearing their advice. According to me there is a lot of job oppertunities In the world of computer. If You Have A Aim Complete It. Do not Hear Others Words It will spoil you. You Cannot imagine a world without computer. Demands for hackers, programmers are increasing day by day.So, its not a waste of time.

That is complete BS. In my country IT'ers and technical people have the future and are the most asked/wanted for jobs. I guess the people who told you this don't have any expierence in the IT-sector themselfs.. so you can guess how many of them really know what's going on

Timon Paßlick damn true, adults have no proper thoughts about what they are advising to the kids, just dictating. when asked how they reached to that conclusion, they get silenced. very few adults, who are exceptions, are able to see the big picture of the changing world.

it is daunting to try to stay on the cutting edge but not every job needs the cutting edge theirs plenty of job growth for programmers but being prepared to have to keep studying is a good mindset to have in general but probably even more than usual for computer science
