At least, when the Rise of Machines begins, humans will be able to gather qualified Coders' Army against them.

No, not everyone should. Although it is highly recommended, but think of it this way : What is the use of learning programming when you don't put it to use?
Hence, those who are totally not interested/dislike programming should not learn it as at the end of the day, they most likely won't put their programming knowledge to use anyway.
But still, who knows if it suddenly changes their viewpoint about programming after they learn it.

Everyone should know how to program a computer, because it teaches you how to think.

Nowadays, software is present everywhere.
And anyone who is good coder can easily find work, and be well paid.
And make code is a lot of fun :)

I can't say about everyone, but at least a computer engineer should know how to code in any language of his/her choice.

It would only benefit people to learn how to code. Some people may not want to, and that is fine, but the people who do want to learn definitely should start.

When machines rise I doubt we will be able to use machines against them, we ll just have to find their sustainability link and destroy it to stop them from evolving further ( for example killing power sources)
but it will be tougher if their neural logic has already done the reinforced study of warfare logic( like art of war book etc)
then I guess we ll depend on their logical mercy for survival 😅😅
But I also think that AI conscience will be how it's designer designs it, if it's faulty it might go rogue , if it's perfect it ll be magical ( like interstellar movies bot). so my guess is AI will be as good as it's designers ,
So right now in basics we teach a program to learn something , then we teach it to learn the learning process , and so on , after many levels of learning dependcies it gets super complicated and we cannot determine why this AI made such decisions.
this Point is CRITICAL POINT, leaving AI to make decisions beyond this point can lead to unforseen circumstances,
this is what few experts are trying to tackle in the architecture design of AI programs at Google s deep mind.
No matter what happens , MORPHEUS will keep a lookout , and offer u pills to make decisions 😎

I also believe we will exist parallely with AI , as our intelligence will also get enhanced with artificial cognitive impairments in the near future , and the line between human and machine will become blurry as the time progresses
A basic organic human will be nothing compared to the artificially enhanced human both physically and mentally , so that will be the new way of life.
