Is it better to get Conputer Science degree or go to coding bootcamp?

Hey i am 13. i am learning how to build websites and apps. If i learn how to do it and create succesful app or website, is it still better for me to graduate for Computer Science degree? Note:I want to work for myself.

Well, technically speaking if you work for yourself, you’ll be your own employer, and not need a job interview. So no proof is needed. I think it would always be better to go get a degree though. Because no matter what you think now, you’ve got a few years until college. (So do I. I’m 14. And I’ve decided to just wait and see)

Then I strongly recommend a degree in Computer Science. However, boot camps are very good experiences for some people and you may benefit from them. I recommend attending boot camps now and working on a Computer Science degree in college. This way, you will be prepared for the coursework. You should also look for local coding clubs; they may be very helpful. Best of luck!

Awesome! It’s great seeing young people interested in programming. However, to answer your question I have to ask: is your goal to work in computers? Or will this just be a side hobby for you?
